From April 7th to April 11th, Sebastian Pfaller and Eva Maria Richter, among other collegues from the Institue of Applied Mechanics, attended the 95th annual meeting of the International Association of Applied Mathematics and Mechanics (GAMM 2025) in Poznań, Poland. The week was filled with interesting plenary lectures, mini-symposia and  presentations. It proved to be the perfect opportunity to nurture existing national and international relationships as well as to form new ones. Eva Maria Richter held a presentation on her large-scale Molecular Dynamics simulations and on her studies regarding the “Capriccio light” approach, while Sebastian Pfaller reported on the current advancements of the full Capriccio approach.

Eva Maria Richter would also like to specifically mention the fruitful exchanges at the GAMM Juniors Lunch and the Women’s networking event, which was organized for the first time within the framework of the conference. Thanks to all the organizers for providing these wonderful opportunities for such insightful conversations!

Of course, we would also like to thank everyone responsible for the well-organized event and for the warm welcome in Poland!
