BIO ART strategy meeting in Lyon

From 05 to 07 January, Sebastian Pfaller met Denise Hellmuth (University of Bayreuth), Agustín Ríos (Université Lyon 1), and Fabrice Detrez (Université Gustave Eiffel) in Lyon for a BIO ART strategy meeting. First of all, we congratulated Agustín for being appointed Professor at Université Lyon 1 very recently and were impressed by the laboratories and machinery available there for polymer synthesis, characterisation, and processing. The main focus of the meeting was to assess the current progress in our joint French-German collaborative project “BIO ART” on bio-based thermosetting polymers. In addition, we discussed possible further joint research endeavours in the field of bio-based polymers within close interactions between experiments, modelling, and simulations. Last but not least, we had the chance to explore Lyon’s rich culinary spectrum.
