Eva’s attendance at the NAFEMS DACH 2026 conference
We are pleased to announce that Eva Maria Richter attended the NAFEMS DACH Conference in Bamberg, Germany, from May 5th to May 7th. Eva’s attendance followed her receipt of the NAFEMS DACH Student Award for her Master’s thesis that she completed in 2024.
NAFEMS remains the premier independent global organization dedicated to engineering modeling, analysis, and simulation. While our team often engages with academic circuits, this conference provided a valuable industry-centric perspective. Key highlights included:
-
Recognition: Eva officially received her award during the opening ceremony.
-
Knowledge Exchange: Keynotes from industry leaders such as Festo, Fraunhofer and Airbus offered insights both into the “shift left” trend – simulating earlier in the development process – and the integration of AI agents to streamline physics-based workflows.
-
Research Presentation: Eva presented her work, “Multiscale mechanics of Thermoplastic Fracture: From 30-million Atom microscale MD Benchmarks to the ‘Capriccio light’ approach,” sparking dialogue with industry professionals.
We thank the organizers for a successful event and congratulate Eva again for receiving the NAFEMS student award.
